so:
1.99 each - .80c coupon (.40 doubled) = 1.19 (print and use 5 .40c coupons)
1.19 x 5 = $5.95
$5.95 - .40c shortcuts - .40.c cellfire - .50c shortcuts coupons
$4.65 - $3.50 off next order catalina = $1.15 FOR 5 BOXES or .23c a box (normally 2.99 each)!
Same thing goes for the fruit snacks. Jackson LOVES these things so they are a definite treat for him! Either use 5 .40c coupons or 1 .40c coupon and 2 .50c off of 2 coupons to buy 5 and get a $3.50 catalina for your next order. Remember if these don't print at the register go to customer service or call the catalina company and they will mail it to you :)
The point of stockpiling is to buy it while you can get it for pennies on the dollar so you don't have to pay full price when you run out or there isn't a coupon for it. Also, when sticking to a budget it's hard to have 'treats' to throw into the mix so when times like these come along you can really take advantage without blowing a ton of money on things that aren't necessities. Yes, I do prefer homemade and organic but let's be honest - we have a baby coming in December and it will be nice to have convenience food in the house :)
All in all, here's what I got:
5 boxes of fruit snacks
5 boxes of nature valley granola bars
2 bags of nature valley clusters
1 box of fiber one bars
1 box of chex mix bars
2 boxes of true delights bars
2 boxes of trix cereal
4 cans of crescent rolls
4 cans of cinnamon rolls
4 old el paso crunchy/soft tacos
Original price of items: $91.26
Price paid: $17.61
Catalina's received for next purchase: $3.50 for fruit snacks and $3.50 for nature valley (makes out of pocket $10.61)
Overall savings: $80.65 or 89%
A.mazing!
Want in on these deals? You can SO do this too... go over here to southern savers and get the full list of Kroger participating items. Then go to the various coupon links under each item (here and here), load the shortcuts and cellfire coupons to your Kroger card and ROCK this sale out! I have other things I'm going to go get (naked juice, more Pillsbury, fiber one bars, cereal, yogurt, etc) but I need to come off of this high before I go back ;).

I am jealous! Awesome deal. Those true delights and chex mix bars are sooo good. Yes I stock pile all of that for all 3 of us. Especially with Mikayla taking lunch 5 days a week. :)
Girl you got the "stockpile" gene honest - it's from Nanny! Daddy has it and so do I!! I stockpile and get anxious if I don't have extra ketchup, mustard, etc.. for when we run out!! It drives Jackie nuts.....
Missy
